Craven Connect has been created with local charities, environmental and sustainability groups in mind.
Beyondly saw the potential to provide a community hub for local charities and environmental groups in and around Craven which has led to the funding and development of Craven Connect. We felt we were in a good place to provide an accessible online hub to support local charities and initiatives to continually improve projects with a climate or sustainability focus.
Our aim is to bring the community groups to one central place where they can share who they are, how people can get involved and any events that they will be hosting. Groups that would like to join the hub must be local to the Craven area and meet at least one of the UN Sustainability Goals.
Many local groups do not have a website or are lacking the resources to manage their social media channels, therefore, by creating this space we hope that it will help advertise the amazing work they’re doing and make it easier for people to get involved. By increasing the awareness of the groups and their work, we hope that Skipton and the surrounding areas will become a greener and a more cohesive community; working together to ultimately have a positive impact against the climate crisis we are facing locally and worldwide, as well as supporting the local community.
