Skipton Youth Council

We are a diverse and determined group of 11-18 year olds striving for positive change in Skipton and the surrounding area, meeting every two weeks in Belle Vue Square.

Currently, we are running two campaigns, those being the Keep Skipton Tidy Campaign and an Anti-Vaping Campaign. We also get involved in lots of consultation work with various different groups and often attend and run stalls at several community events (e.g. Skipton Sheep Day). We are also a part of several larger groups, such as the Youth Assembly for York and North Yorkshire, Youth Con and the Safety Working Group in Skipton, where we are able to advocate the views of young people in Skipton to a wider range of people.
